That doesn’t mean just avoiding processed foods or sugar and salt, but also any foods which started being consumed after the Paleolithic era when humans changed from nomad hunter-gatherers to sedentary agriculturists.   1. More proteins – meat, seafood and even organs. The modern diet is lower in protein than our ancestors’ diet. By increasing the protein amount, you’ll improve your muscle strength, bone health and feel stronger and fitter. Proteins also make you feel fuller, which will make you eat less.
  2. Fewer carbs – the only carbs in your diet should be those you get from fresh fruit and vegetables. Sugar in fruit and vegetable digest slower with longer time at a steady pace. There wouldn’t be spikes, keeping your blood sugar stable.
  3. Switch out the saturated fats in your diet for healthy unsaturated fats with high levels of Omega 3 and Omega 6. This will help your cholesterol and lower the risks of heart disease and diabetes. And you’ll shed the pounds much easier too.
  4. More fiber – Try to get your fiber from fruit and vegetables instead of from grains, as they contain a lot more fiber and grains can cause autoimmune reactions in many people.
  5. Low sodium, high potassium – low potassium levels can cause the same kind of reactions high sodium levels do: elevated blood pressure, a high risk of strokes or heart disease. So increase your potassium, and lay off the salt.
  6. More vitamins, minerals and antioxidants – vitamin, mineral and antioxidant are key parts of human body. Eat good quality and chemical-free fruits, vegetable and meat.
  7. Balance your diet – in the digestion process some foods generate acid (meat, fish, salt, grains, starches) and some are alkaline (fruit and vegetables). Keep things balanced to improve your natural health!
